It was great to celebrate the opening of the new cricket nets at Kahibah Oval with Charlestown District Cricket Club, Charlestown Junior Cricket Club and Senator Hollie Hughes.

Between the two clubs and their sponsors working with Cricket NSW as well as the NSW Government and the Federal government - over $300,000 was raised to provide several new nets for the area.

​

The new synthetic and natural turf nets will benefit all levels of cricket, from young players participating for the first time, to the region's elite players.

​

Thanks must also go to Cr Kay Fraser - Lake Macquarie Mayor the team of Lake Macquarie City Council who worked with the builders and sponsor Mace Building to ensure the delivery of these spectacular new nets for the community.
